Confession #18 Tis the Season to go Thrifting!!!!

Tis the season to go broke buying gifts for Christmas! Well not for I and I will let you in on a secret.Thrift store and consignment shops should be at least one of your stops during the holidays. Most of what you pay regular price for can be found at thrift stores marked down by 75%. Many people think that thrift store only has used items, which is untrue. Items that boutiques and clothing stores are not able to sell are found here. I have come across plenty of items that were still tagged.

Weird thing. I found a belt last week that had a Wally world tag on it from the 90s. I was like really?!

Now a days, more and more men are totting men bags. Some may think it is gay, but I love it and you have to know how to rock it.

You can find vintage bags at almost any thrift store or consignment shop.

Bow ties are also a common find at thrift stores and consignment shops that would make a great gift. Send that along with a nice box for him store them in.

Why not get him a nice blazer? Thrift stores has blazers for days! Literally! Pair this with a few scarvess and Im sure he will appreciate it!

I have come across some fabulous earrings at the thrift store. This can be a cheap add on to any gift for her.

There are also plenty of blazers to be found for women as well fellas. CLEANERS CLEANERS CLEANERS!!! And on another note, if she doesn't like, oh well. You will not pay no more than $5 anyway. But if you choose this option, I advise that you pair it with something nice so that it doesn't seem you just went the cheap way out.

Confession #17 Dated Thrift Picks...

Do you ever see cute things at the thrift store but always ask, What the freak to pair it with? Or see things that look cute, but too dated?

Heres a jacket that looks VERY dated that was a thrift pick. This jacket makes me feel like a background dancer for  Michael Jackson show... weird...lol

And here is how my bestie rocked it! Sorry the pic is blurry, she texted me the picture! Thats why she need to move to Birmingham! Uggghhh!!

Confession #16 End of Year Diet

Its that time of the year! Thanksgiving and Christmas are my most favorite times of the year but my most greediest times as well! Most wait until the new year to start their diet but I choose to do something a little different. I want to start mine now, right after Thanksgiving.

I have noticed that I have been carrying around a lot of unwanted weight that I refuse to take to 2012. Its time for me to rid my life, mind, body, and soul of all this unhealthy foods, unhealthy habits, unhealthy stress, and unhealthy/useless/negative people that I have carried all of 2011. With where Im trying to go, there is no room for no extra fat.

My goal for the rest of 2011 and all of 2012 is to feed myself the right food, healthy food. I will cut fried food and increase bake food. I will cut wasteful spending and increase thrifty saving. I will cut simple minded, spiteful, selfish, jealous, ungrateful people from my circle and increase courageous, encouraging, appreciative, giving, praying, not ashamed to praise people.  I will shed off the pounds of stressing about yesterday worries and increase my faith in the promises God has for me. I will shed off the time i spend complaining about todays problems and increase my time making adjustments for  a better tomorrow.

What fat do you need to loose before 2012?

Confession #15 My Fall Inspriration

Most of what I post is pulled from inspiration I receive from my inner circle of friends or church family or from personal revelations. If I hear or see something that speaks to my heart, I care not to be stingy with it because it may speak to someone else as well.  The Rock Church has been a beautiful blessing to my life. I am ever so grateful to be surrounded by those that will pray with me, cry with me, fight with me, and have the ability to speak positive things over my life when i dont have the strength to do it myself. It is so important to take an inventory of your life and the people in it. Everyone needs someone that they can look to for inspiration, advice, encouragement, or to pray. Note: If you are always pouring into someone else and never take the time to have anyone do the same in return, eventually your cup will become empty and your spirit will thirst.

A fellow church member, Awilda, posted this the other day and it spoke to me and I wanted to share:

"Sticks and stones might break my bones but WORDS..." hmm what about words? They have the power to build up or tear down far more than we acknowledge. To often we fire off the first thought that pops in our heads without thinking of the ripple effect that will take place down the line. WORDS can often hurt worse than any break or bruise you will have. Is it possible that the same weapon you use to hurt someone can be used for healing today? I challenge you to try it, the results could be mind blowing. Prov 18:21

My wishlist:
1. Flower print dress to the left is apart of the new Versace collection H&M just released.
2. The fur boot underneath it is apart the winter Christian Loubouton Collection that was recently seen on red carpet.
3. The purple and orange duo was featured in GUCCI recent runway show.
Everything else are pieces I have come across that gives me inspiration and ideas for more pics!

This collage features pieces from the Christian Louboutin Fall collection. I love loud colors and it anything that pops. Gets my imagination going and going and going and going.

Confession #13 Love Yourself with Confidence

Just like my motto, "Fashion is what you make it", life is to. Although it may be hard not to, don't walk around with 99 problems showcasing in your attitude or your confidence.

Ladies, it is so important to love yourself, with flaws and all. How can you expect someone else to love and accept you for who you are if you cant love and accept yourself? It is so unattractive.com for a woman to walk around with no confidence, unhappy, and always complaining.

Your attitude towards life can turn problems into blessings.

Love yourself and enjoy life.

Confession #12 Naturally Blessed

Lately I have been going through a transition in my life where now I know exactly what I want and aspire to do, but diffent things and certain people are trying their best to convince me otherwise. Seems as if the enemy know exactly what God has planned for me, so he uses those things or people that used to make me smile against me and what Im believing God for.

BUT THE DEVIL IS A LIE!

Not only now do I know who I am, but I know WHOSE I am. I know what to expect and I know what not to expect. And no longer will I give my energy to trying to convince those who just dont believe in me or to those that do believe in me and just hate to see me succeed.

I know that what God has for is FOR ME. I am Naturally blessed baby.
Natural: as is normal or to be expected: Not affected by man or civilation

There is nothing you can do to change who I am, who Im going to be, or my expectations of my Father. My faith will only continue to grow stronger and stronger. The harder it gets, the closer I am to my breakthrough.

I don't know what my Father is going to do, but I EXPECT him to do something. And whatever that maybe, I am trusting that it will work out for my good.

This is a pic of my bestfriend, my sister, my supporter, and my heart..She has recently decided to go Natural. She is the baddest hair stylist in Mobile. She recently opened a new Hair Salon with her sister Tori, Crazy About Hair. If  you are in Mobile, you should definitely go check them out.

Confession #11 What are you expecting?

PMJ- Faith is seeing your future, while looking at your present, and shouting about your past.

We all get in a place one time or another where your faith is constantly being tested. Maybe nothing good is happening even when you try your darnest to finally do right. Or things could be so bad in your life now that every little thing frustrates you. You don't really have anyone to talk to maybe because of the fear you will be judged or they won't really understand what you're feeling and what you're going through. And you have been praying and praying and praying and praying......but nothing. And you just need something positive to happen just so that you know God is there and listening. Whatever it maybe, don't allow your current situation to let your faith lose sight of the promises God has for you.

Faith is not wishing for a better a day but EXPECTING and SPEAKING a better day.
Matthew 17:20

Confession #10 Flower Print Dare

I am a sucker for print. As I said before, you never know what it looks like until you put it on. This is another thrifty pick...What are your thoughts?

Confession #9` SWAG

Beyonce new song Party is a #1 hit right now. My fav verse is by Kanye, "You a bad girl and your friends bad too, oh We got the swag so she drippin’ swagoo." Having swag is the ability to look good, love God, and change lives all at the same time.

Saved

Amazing
Grace

Confession #8 That was my sign!

For each season, there is a sign. Whether it's the color of the leaves or the feel of the air. So when you are going through a time where nothing seems to go right with you or around you, that is your sign that your season of breakthrough is near. So instead of letting what you are going through show through in your spirit, appreciate it for what it really is and dont' miss out on all that God is trying to open your eyes to... Luke 2:8-12
