Confession #18 Tis the Season to go Thrifting!!!!

Tis the season to go broke buying gifts for Christmas! Well not for I and I will let you in on a secret.Thrift store and consignment shops should be at least one of your stops during the holidays. Most of what you pay regular price for can be found at thrift stores marked down by 75%. Many people think that thrift store only has used items, which is untrue. Items that boutiques and clothing stores are not able to sell are found here. I have come across plenty of items that were still tagged.

Weird thing. I found a belt last week that had a Wally world tag on it from the 90s. I was like really?!

Now a days, more and more men are totting men bags. Some may think it is gay, but I love it and you have to know how to rock it.

You can find vintage bags at almost any thrift store or consignment shop.

Bow ties are also a common find at thrift stores and consignment shops that would make a great gift. Send that along with a nice box for him store them in.

Why not get him a nice blazer? Thrift stores has blazers for days! Literally! Pair this with a few scarvess and Im sure he will appreciate it!

I have come across some fabulous earrings at the thrift store. This can be a cheap add on to any gift for her.

There are also plenty of blazers to be found for women as well fellas. CLEANERS CLEANERS CLEANERS!!! And on another note, if she doesn't like, oh well. You will not pay no more than $5 anyway. But if you choose this option, I advise that you pair it with something nice so that it doesn't seem you just went the cheap way out.

Which thrift store do you go to?

I dont shop at any particular one. I visit them all over Birmingham and Atlanta. But if you are in Birmingham, there are 3 on Centerpoint Pkwy that I go to often. There are 2 in Crestwood by the new outlet and where Circuit City use to be, and 2 more in Fairfield. If you google thrift stores in birmingham, many will come up. Hope this helps!

Stay Blessed :)

Thank you love! Common ones are Value Village which seems like it can been found like almost on every corner, is similiar to Jimmy Hale Mission here in Birmingham. I have also been to Lucky Exchange, which is more of a consignment shop and more pricier but awesome pieces...
